Tavia Rivée Jefferson (Director)

Tavia is a performer, director, and founder of Cultural Coordinating. She is currently Associate Director on Netflix’s Broadway production of Stranger Things: The First Shadow.  Additional directing credits include the Broadway revival of The Wiz and Disney Theatrical’s Aida.  A former child Broadway performer, Tavia took a break from the industry to earn a degree from Chapman University.  After spending some time in the public sector, Tavia returned to the arts, performing in shows including, All Shook Up, Trav’lin, Hairspray, Beehive, HAIR, Little Shop of Horrors, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson ONE, and Motown the Musical.  During the pandemic, Tavia focused her communication and theatrical skills to build the specialized role of Cultural Coordinating, designed to improve cultural competency and education in artistic spaces.  Tavia has served as Cultural Coordinator for multiple regional, touring, West End, and Broadway productions, including To Kill a Mockingbird, Company, and Hairspray.  www.TaviaRivee.com

Alvon Reed (Choreographer)

Alvon Reed (Choreographer)

Alvon Reed is the Artist-in-Residence in Jazz at Southern Methodist University. Mr. Reed holds a BA in Spanish from Coe College and an MFA in Dance with a focus on Choreography from the University of Iowa. His performance credits include Nike, PUMA, Levi’s Jeans, Microsoft, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Inland Pacific Ballet, Nevada Ballet Theatre, Opus Dance Theatre, and Jennifer Muller/The Works. Alvon performed in Arena Stage's first multi-ethnic production of “Oklahoma.” Additional performance credits include Iphegenia with Marion Schoevaert, Othello with Eloy Barragán, and The Secret Sharer under the direction of Dr. Daniel Banks. As an instructor, Mr. Reed has taught at prominent dance schools both nationally and internationally, including The Milwaukee Ballet School, The Ailey School, Butler Ballet, Tanzprokjekt München, and Theatreakademie Prinzregenten in Munich, Germany. He has choreographed musicals for Theatre Cedar Rapids, Coe College, Revival Theatre Company, the Department of Theatre at the University of Iowa, and the Department of Theatre and Dance at Cornell College. His choreography includes Shrek, The Little Mermaid (which received Best Choreography in 2016), Sister Act, Newsies, American Idiot, Big Love, Hattie Mae’s Jook Joint, EVITA, Ragtime, 9 to 5, Rent, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Alvon has also choreographed for Broadway Dallas’ annual High School Musical Theater Awards and has recently developed new jazz dance works for Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts and McCallum High School for the Performing Arts. Alvon is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA).

Evan Lange (Musical Director)

Evan Lange is a music director, composer, and pianist in the Madison Area. Recent MD credits include It’s A Wonderful Life (also Orchestrator, World Premiere), Shining In Misery: a King Size Parody (also Orchestrator, World Premiere), Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 (Regional Premiere), The World Goes ‘Round, Edges, The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill..., Carrie, and On The Town (Asst MD). Evan is also regularly involved with Capital City Theatre Conservatory's educational programs and classes, as well as collaborating with the choral music programs at various local high schools.
