Michael Joseph Mitchell is a Chicago based actor and singer. Last November he appeared in the CCT production of It’s A Wonderful Life, A New Musical as both Peter Bailey and Joseph. In Chicago he has appeared in The Band’s Visit at Writers Theatre; The Comedy Of Errors, The Wizard Of Oz, and Mary Stuart at Chicago Shakespeare, Spring Awakening at Porchlight Music Theatre, My Fair Lady at Lyric Opera & Elizabeth Rex at Oak Park Festival Theatre. Regionally he has appeared at Asolo Rep, Syracuse Stage, Indiana Rep and BoarsHead Theater. He has created seven different cabaret acts, most recently Joyful Noise: The Songs Of Shaina Taub at The CheckOut Chicago. He is a member of Actors Equity and SAG-AFTRA, and also a member of Chicago Cabaret Professionals.

Tom Hensen is delighted to spend another year with Capital City Theatre’s heartwarming Holiday production of It’s a Wonderful Life — A New Musical as Bedford Falls’ favorite “warped, frustrated old man”, Henry F. Potter. A veteran of Wisconsin stages for close to 50 years, Tom hopes you enjoy this “New” version of the holiday classic and that you and yours all share a “Wonderful” Holiday Season!

Kailey Boyle is elated to be back in her hometown performing with Capital City Theatre! Recent credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at Stages St. Louis (Cynthia Weil), My Best Friend’s Wedding at Ogunquit Playhouse (Ensemble, Julianne understudy), Gatsby: An American Myth at American Repertory Theatre (Ensemble, Daisy understudy), and in 2023 she was Mrs. Claus in the Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes. Rick Henslin has performed in musical theatre in the Madison area for the last 30 years. Roles have varied from the good guys like Curly in Oklahoma and Cornelius Hackl in Hello Dolly to the darker ones like Sweeney Todd, and Gaston in Beauty and The Beast. He is thrilled to be back on stage with CCT and looks forward to performing with Madison Opera in the upcoming season.

Tess Lenzen is delighted to be back for her third year of It's A Wonderful Life, a New Musical with CCT! She was a part of the first staged reading and is in awe of how far this show has come! Her recent credits included Sarah Jane Moore in Assasins (CCT), Lizzie in Lizzie (StageQ) and was most recently the cover for Ms Trunchbull in Matilda (CTM). Additionally, Tess had the pleasure of performing alongside her boyfriend Andrew Linden in their cabaret "A Night of Jason Robert Brown" this past fall as a part of CCT's Cabart Series! When she's not performing, Tess can be found at the front desk of Be Inspired Salon, or spending time with those she loves most. She would like to thank her boyfriend Andrew, her friends, family, coworkers and her puppy Netti for all their love and support of her as an artist and person. Much love to all, and enjoy!

Jen Farley is thrilled to return as "Bert" in It’s A Wonderful Life. When she’s not singing showtunes, she’s the resident bottle rocket in the award-winning trio Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets. Jen also serves as a staff member with Girls Rock Camp Madison, works as a Creativity Coach, and is president of ICF Wisconsin. She sends love and gratitude to her friends and family for their support—especially her boys, Mike, Jonathan, and Waylon.

Andrew Linden is thrilled to be returning for his third time with It’s a Wonderful Life, a New Musical, this time as Sam Wainwright! Previous CCT credits include Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812 (Dolokhov), Tick… Tick… Boom (Jon) and Assassins (Hinckley). He wants to thank his family, friends, and beautiful partner Tess who he is lucky to share the stage with for the third year in a row.

Robert A. Goderich is excited to be back with CCT having just played Samuel Byck in Assassins last summer, and also previously playing Martini in It’s a Wonderful Life, a New Musical, M3 in Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, the Musical, and being part of the Capital City Carolers since its inception. A veteran of the Madison stage, you may recognize Robert from numerous roles with Madison Opera, CTM, CCT, Four Seasons Theatre, and more.  Some favorite roles have included: The Governor in Candide,John Styxx in Orpheus in the Underworld, Father in The Seven Deadly Sins, Jew #1 in Salome,The Waiter in She Loves Me, Beppe in Il Pagliacci Pirelli in SweeneyTodd all with Madison Opera; The Escapologist in Matilda and Alex the Lion in Madagascar the Musical Adventure with CTM, Migaldi in Evita, Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys N Dolls, Sir Bedevere in Spamalot, John in Miss Saigon, all with Four Seasons Theatre.  Many thanks to all friends, family for all of the support!  Hope you enjoy this amazing new work, and enjoy the show!

Edyn Goede is thrilled to revive her role as Zuzu in It’s a Wonderful Life: A New Musical with Capital City Theatre! Favorite roles include Matilda in Matilda at both the Fireside Dinner Theatre and Children’s Theater of Madison, and Annie in Annie Kids at Verona Area Community Theater. Offstage, she enjoys reading, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends. Edyn thanks Capital City Theatre, her castmates, and her family and friends for their support.

Chase Schutte is thrilled to be reprising his role at Capital City Theatre after last year's production of It's a Wonderful Life, a New Musical. Estella McCarthy Schultz is a senior in high school who is delighted to be making her debut performance at Capital City Theatre. Recent credits include Fiddler on the Roof Chicago (Lyric Opera), Maybe We’ll Fly At the Witches House (Riverside Theatre), Fiddler on the Roof Drury Lane Theatre, Mean Girlz Parody (Second City Chicago), White Christmas (Fireside Theatre), Billy Elliott (Music Theatre Works). Lisa Spierer bookends her theatrical year by returning to Bedford Falls! She appeared most recently (and delightedly) as Emma Goldman in CCT’s Assassins. Between shows, she continues her day job with the UW-Madison’s Division of the Arts and does occasional radio plays with WPR’s 9XM Players. As ever, gratitude goes to biological and chosen family, with special shoutout to daughter Evie. Thanks for unloading the dishwasher, bug.

Cory McGowan is very excited to be a part of It’s a Wonderful Life, a New Musical at Capital City Theatre. She recently worked with Capital City Theatre in their Level Up: College Prep Intensive. For fun, Cory paints, plays piano and spends time with her dog Coco. She wants to thank her Family, friends and Jane Lynch.

Ethan Richard is elated to be back with Capital City Theatre, having most recently portrayed Charles Guiteau in their production of Assassins. Some of his other credits include Shrek in Shrek: The Musical, Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps, Professor Plum in Clue, and Master Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor. Stage acting aside, Ethan is an accomplished voiceover artist, having performed for various films, commercials, and audiobooks. This performance is dedicated to the memory of Abram Merkl. You always made my life wonderful, old friend, and I will love and miss you forever. 

Will Karls (Nick/Ensemble)

Will Karls is a Chicago based actor, director, and writer, as well as an alumnus of the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. Recent stage credits include "Puck" in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Festival 56), "Scuttle" in The Little Mermaid (Festival 56), "Ensemble" in The Scarlet Pimpernel (The Beautiful City Project), and "Thomas" in Jenny: A New Musical (Boaz Productions). He has directed a variety of full musicals and staged readings throughout Chicago including Anyone Can Whistle (Chicago Whistler), Big Wig (Chicago New Musical Theatre Festival - Kokandy Productions), and a workshop reading of Lily and the Pirates (CCPA). Will is currently developing his first original musical; Dan's: A New Brewsical, that he hopes to workshop in the upcoming year. Following It's A Wonderful Life, he will be playing "Sid" and understudying "Chester" in Mrs. Claus! A Holiday Musical with the Chicago Kids Company.

Ashton Florence (He/Him) can be seen on the stage all over the Madison area, having performed with Capital City Theatre (CCT) in productions of Tick, Tick… Boom! (Michael), On the Town (Ensemble), Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812 (Ensemble), Andrew Keenan-Bolger in Concert (Singer/Dancer), and the first full-staged version of It's A Wonderful Life, a New Musical (Sheriff/Dancer/Ensemble) last season. He also worked as a professional Christmas Caroler this past season with CCT and is looking forward to doing it again this year. In 2020, he joined Madison Contemporary Dance Company (MCD) as an Apprentice and quickly got promoted to a Company Dancer within his first year. While not performing, Ashton continues working behind-the-scenes and most recently was the ASM, Choreographer, Weapons Handler, and Props Designer for Assassins with CCT. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with his BS in Dance, BA in Communication Arts - radio, television, film, and a certificate in Digital Studies. He would like to thank his family, partner, and friends who have all helped him achieve his dreams.

Michael Decker is so excited to be making his Capital City Theatre debut!! Favorite credits include Gabe in Next to Normal, Luke in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, and J.D. in Heathers: The Musical. He is currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marquette Univeristy in hopes to become a therapist. All love to his parents, sister, and his girlfriend for their incredible support.

Mike Brady is excited to reprise his roles in It’s A Wonderful Life! Mike is a frequent performer in the Madison area, having recently headlined as Captain von Trapp (Sound of Music, SPCT), Bernard Dunlap (Suite Surrender, VACT), and Franklin Hart, Jr (9 to 5, SPCT). During the day, he teaches software development at Epic. He also recently achieved his fifth degree black belt in taekwondo and is a ten-time state champion in the sport and fight choreographer. He gives special thanks to his fiancée Stephanie, his children, Dean and Noah, and to you for supporting local theater!
